I love photographs that stop me in my tracks. I’m inspired when a photographer captures the natural beauty of our world, an expression or a moment in time and blends it with an artistic approach. When a photographer invites me to view the world with wonderment, or to take action, or I get hooked into a dialogue with the image, then I want to know what steps the photographer followed to hit the sweet spot. It motivates me to learn how my own photographs can reflect the diversity of our planet and hopefully inspire others to treasure it like gold - Dene Rossouw


Dene is a professional speaker and inspiring presenter with many years experience as a facilitator and coach. He specialises in improving leadership and employee engagement through effective communication and sensemaking. He coaches leaders on how to have more relevant conversations in the workplace. Dene is the Communications Chair for the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and is a certified emotional intelligence facilitator. He has the Associate Certificate in Workplace Conflict from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.

Dene has had a varied and interesting career. Since completing school in ’69, he has been a paratrooper, a priest working with biker groups, a business owner, a communications specialist, a trainer and presenter in the corporate world and more recently a communications director to the Chief Justices in Nova Scotia.

He and his wife Deborah live in Vancouver, Canada.
